Absorbing Loudspeaker Vibration to Reveal More of Your Music
The Stack Audio AUVAs help bring your music to life. The AUVAs are designed to do two things: hold loudspeakers rigidly whilst simultaneously absorbing vibration.
AUVA isolators channel vibration through a network of precision-shaped internal chambers, where Stack Audio's unique implementation of Particle Impact Damping dissipates energy before it can affect performance.
How the Auva Works
Effective management of speaker energy is crucial for achieving clear and precise playback. By controlling unwanted resonance, we can significantly enhance sound quality, leading to a more accurate and immersive listening experience. While spikes and compliant isolators are commonly used to address vibration, they each come with their own drawbacks.
Spikes are often favoured for their ability to anchor the speaker to the floor; however, they can act as conduits for vibration. As energy travels downward from the speakers, it reflects back through the spikes, creating unwanted resonance that disrupts both speaker performance and room acoustics.
Compliant solutions like rubber isolators absorb vibration through movement. While this method is generally more effective than spikes at absorbing vibration, speakers require stability. Excessive cabinet movement can disrupt performance, skewing the soundstage and diminishing playback accuracy.
The AUVAs maintain structural rigidity while dissipating energy through their unique multi-chambered particle impact dampening system. This innovative approach results in clearer sound, enhanced detail, and improved spatial accuracy, allowing listeners to experience music with greater transparency and realism.

AUVA Technology
Enclosed within the AUVA’s precision machined aluminium cases are multiple cells containing particles. Vibrations excite the particles, creating movement and collisions that dissipate the energy virtually instantaneously.
Think of it like throwing a ball into soft sand – the sand absorbs the energy from the ball preventing it bouncing. This patent pending technology enables the AUVAs to remove masking vibrations over a wide frequency range, revealing more of the clarity in the musical recording.
Precision Made. Measured Performance
Designed and assembled in the UK, AUVA products are made with close attention to every detail. From the external finish to the smallest internal feature, each component is produced to exacting standards and verified through measurement.

Which AUVA Is Best for Me?
The vibration absorbing performance of the AUVAs adjusts with the version and size. The AUVA 50 contains 2 internal cells for effective vibration absorption. The AUVA 70 has 3 cells and the 100 has 5. Both the AUVA 70 and 100 include a central particle filled chamber for extra absorption capability.
All AUVAs can be used with both stand mount and floor standing loudspeakers.

Technical Details
There are three versions of AUVA to choose from – AUVA 50, 70 and 100. They attach via supplied threaded bolts into the existing mounting holes on the underside of your loudspeakers or stand mount. Different thread sizes are available to suit. The AUVAs are supplied with your choice of carpet spikes or protective felt pads for use on solid floors.
What’s Included? (Set of 8)
8 x Isolators

24 x Spikes (3 Per Foot)
8 x Fixing adapters (thread size specific)
8 x Felt Discs

FAQs
All three work across the same frequency range, and all can be used with standmount and floorstanding speakers. What changes is capacity: how much vibration energy the isolator can absorb.
AUVA 50: two absorbing cells. AUVA 70: three cells, plus a central particle-filled chamber for extra absorption. AUVA 100: five cells plus a central chamber, with twice the surface area of the 70 and the largest mass of particles. It’s for those who want the ultimate level of performance.
If you’d like a recommendation for your speakers, contact us with the make and model and we’ll help you choose.
No. Every AUVA supports up to 275kg (606lbs), so all three can carry almost any speaker. The difference between them is how much vibration they can absorb, not how much weight they can hold.
Every system is different, so we can’t tell you exactly what you’ll hear. Customers often tell us the AUVAs bring greater refinement to the bass: tighter, cleaner and more controlled. As the bass tightens, they find everything above it opens up too, with more detail, better separation and a wider soundstage.
Spikes anchor a speaker to the floor, but they also act as a path for vibration. Energy travels down into the floor and reflects back up through the spikes, and if the floor itself resonates, that energy is re-radiated into your system. The result depends on your floor rather than on your speakers.
The AUVA holds your speaker just as rigidly, but absorbs the vibration instead of passing it on.
Compliant isolators absorb vibration through movement, but they also let the cabinet move. They partially store energy and release it back with a slight time lag, which can smear transients, skew the soundstage and change your speakers’ sound.
Loudspeakers are designed, measured and voiced on solid, stable platforms. The AUVA keeps your speaker rigid while its internal particles absorb the vibration, so you keep the stability without the stored energy.
Inside each precision-machined aluminium body are sealed cells filled with particles, each filled to a different level so the isolator absorbs across a broad range. The internal shape channels vibration into those cells, where the particles move and collide, turning the energy into heat. The movement happens inside the isolator, and the body stays rigid.
Think of throwing a ball into soft sand: the sand absorbs the energy and the ball doesn’t bounce.
No. The AUVAs can sit directly under your speakers or stands and will perform to their highest level without being threaded in. So they work just as well with speakers that have no mounting points.
Use felt pads on any hard floor, including wood, laminate, tile and stone. Use spikes only on carpet: they pass through the soft surface, keeping the rigidity at the heart of the AUVA’s design.
The felt pads can’t be removed once fitted, but they have holes so you can add spikes later if you move to a carpeted room.
Carpet is soft, and a soft surface lets the speaker move. The spikes pass through it to give the AUVA a firm footing, so the speaker stays rigid while the AUVA does the absorbing.
No. Their orientation has no effect on performance.
The AUVA 50 and 70 are 30mm tall, and the AUVA 100 is 40mm tall, not including spikes.
Each set of four includes 4 isolators, and either 12 spikes (3 per isolator) or 4 felt discs. The AUVA 50 is 50mm across, the 70 is 70mm and the 100 is 100mm.
